Julieth has had the chance to receive the help of a number of volunteers, which gave
her the possibility to develop her projects. Volunteers have participated in the
renovation of classrooms, the construction of a henhouse, the purchase of books, pen and clothes.
I have been a volunteer at EBENEZER myself and Julieth’s sensitivity, dedication and love
for the kids, «her kids» as she names them, have moved and struck me. The strong impact
those kids had on me has inspired me to help them as much as I could. When visiting the
kids and Julieth for a second time in Tanzania in July 2013, I went with her to the
market and in different villages in order to see what the kids needed each month to
survive, and realized that Julieth on her own was severely struggling to provide
each child with all the necessity. Without donations, the kids end up underfed,
and sometimes not able to go to school. Without the help of sponsors for tuition fees,
uniforms and books, they do not have enough money for transport and are unable to
attend private school.

Which constitutes the very basis of the children’s alimentation.
To that, should be added needed goods:
Fire wood
Cooking oil
Water and electricity
Medicines
Any contribution, «no matter how much», will enable the kids to get a proper alimentation,
to be healthier and to access clean water (thus having better hygiene conditions).
Julieth does not receive any salary as she dedicates her time to the orphanage.
Two young girls take care of the kids on a daily basis (looking after them, cooking dinner,
washing clothes) but their salaries are irregular due to a lack of money.
By contributing to the salaries, the kids will have somebody that takes care of them and
will have someone that cooks healthy meals for them.
